I'm Henk Kruijthof, songwriter, guitarist, and producer living in Arum, the Netherlands. Growing up in the 60s, I've seen many music styles come and go (and come back again). From all these ingredients, I’ve cooked up my own style of making music and writing songs. From bluesy 60's and psychedelic 70's rock up to contemporary R&B, Hip Hop and EDM..
I've lost track of all the bands I’ve once played in but there’s one I’d like to highlight. I was part of a jazzy trio with a pianist and a wonderful female singer, and we called ourselves Chinatown Rose. I still use that name for all the songs I release. So Chinatown Rose is not really a band but it's just me!
Occasionally, I work with a singer but in 9 out of 10 cases, I’ll play all the instruments myself and do the mixing and mastering. I no longer feel the need to be in the spotlight myself, but I would love for other artists to cover my songs.

Our latest release is called Nine and it's from the late 90's. Made with the good old 808, the 909 and the TB 303. God bless Roland! And voices of well known American singers and actors. See if you can spot them. This is for the Techno and Acid freaks out there!
